SA: Thousands line Adelaide streets for war veterans

For the first time .. Australian servicemen and women from the Iraq war have led the
traditional Anzac Day parade through the centre of Adelaide.

Early showers cleared to sunny skies in time for the march from the War Memorial to
the Cross of Sacrifice.

Cheering spectators cheered on the veterans .. some still marching strong .. others
seated on buses or in wheelchairs ... and emergency services say none needed assistance.

Earlier one of the largest crowds in years attended the dawn service in Adelaide ..

including state Governor KEVIN SCARCE .. Premier MIKE RANN .. Opposition Leader ISOBEL
REDMOND and Federal Sports Minister KATE ELLIS.
