Qld: Death in custody to be investigated

Queensland's Department of Corrective Services and police will investigate today's
death in custody of a 63-year-old man.

The man was found dead in his cell by another prisoner at the Darling Downs Correctional
Centre .. west of Brisbane .. around 1.30 (AEST) this afternoon.

A nurse attended .. but the man was declared dead a short time later.

He had been serving an 18-month sentence to be suspended after four months .. and was
due for release on January 19.
