Magnet Networks launches new Internet-based TV service in Ireland.(IRELAND)

Ireland's alternative broadband operator, Magnet Networks, has introduced a new Internet television service which also allows viewers to access social networking Web sites like Facebook. According to web portal Business & Leadership, the broadband operator's new service would also provide users of any service provider with access to five TV channels for free. Any user of Magnet which currently has a 1Mbps broadband service would need to get registered on magnetwebtv.ie to access the TV channels. The service also obviates the need to pay license or cable subsection fees.
