NSW: Teenager charged after train carriage set alight

A teenager has been charged after a train carriage was set alight in Sydney's north west.

Police say six people were on the train .. but no-one has been injured.

The fire caused damage to the seating and window trimmings of the carriage at Vineyard station.

A 14-year-old North Richmond youth has been charged with malicious damage by fire.

He was refused bail and is due to appear at Windsor Children's Court on Thursday April 17.
